[va-richmond-general] James River Winter Count-Saturday January 17, 2009-2nd post

Second reminder before you get tangled in Christmas lights and holiday cheer to remember the January 17, 2009 James River Winter Count. Have heard from many of you-just want to add this to your list of things to do. Sign up today with me-offline please  juliekazz@xxxxxxxxxxx
The one suet cake entrance fee will be donated to Swansboro Elementary School for our RAS kids program. In lieu of suet feel free to substitute a bag of bird seed. Thanks. Don't forget the Hopewell CBC Dec. 14 as well...

Mark your calendars for our annual James River Winter Count which will be held Saturday January 17, 2009.  This is our annual species inventory of the James River Park System and post-foray brunch at the home of Mary Arginteanu and Larry Robinson. The e-mails will continue throughout the holiday season :-) This is just a warm-up for you to set aside the date and think about the sector you would like to survey. More detailed info to come. There will be a one suet cake entrance fee once again as well as the request of a brunch item and/or beverage to share.

Here are the sectors:

42nd Street
Floodwall
Belle Isle
Byrd Park
Ancarrow's
Wetlands
Pony Pasture
Hugenot Landing

No rush to decide there are 45 days before the count. For you Type-A's wanting to sign up early contact me off the list at juliekazz@xxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks,
Julie Kacmarcik
