Hello birders,
Past couple of mornings have been quite active between 42nd St and Reedy
Creek. BLACKPOLL WARBLERs have been commonest warbler. At least 50
yesterday, probably more. Other highlights have been MAGNOLIA and CANADA
WARBLERs (5-10 of each). CHESTNUT-SIDED and BLACK-THROATED GREEN have also
been reported.
I heard a warbler song that puzzled me this morning. I heard it several
times, but never saw the bird. I noted the song as "rapidly ascending
twitter ending in high pitched notes". After listening to the "Stokes" CD I
am thinking it could have been a Blackburnian Warbler.
Also had a WARBLING VIREO by the visitors center.
