from roughly 7-11 Lewis Barnett, Adam D'Onofrio, Mickey from Goochland, and
Dr. Grace birded JRP. Today was very active, and some exciting birds were seen
among the 5 of us: 15 Warbler species, including BLUE-WINGED, CAPE MAY,
BLACKPOLL, MAGNOLIA, several PROTHONOTARY, BLACK-THROATED BLUE and GREEN, and
CHESTNUT-SIDED. Also of note was a VEERY., several BALTIMORE and ORCHARD
ORIOLES,
and at least 7 ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAKS ( numbers suggestive of an over-night
flight ).
Also of note: 1 RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET, and still several WHITE-THROATED
SPARROWS.
