Was on my way to Hampton from Richmond on I-64. Saw a
beautiful Tom Turkey calmly grazing on the side of the
interstate!
Went to Pocahontas SP on Sunday. Heard lots of
Ovenbirds and Pine Warblers. Saw several Pileated
WP's. Heard a Phoebe and Chipping sparrow by the CCC
museum. Also saw a bluebird in the box there. Happened
to run into 3 whitetail deer who promptly bolted into
the woods.
Goldfinches and gnatcatchers were out in force.
Ben
