[va-richmond-general] IBMD 5/12

Hello birders,
I birded Charles City, eastern Henrico, Prince George, and my yard in the
City of Richmond yesterday. I started at 5:15 am and wrapped it up around
11:30 am.

Land bird migration seemed slow, which given the weather and time of year
for this part of the state would be expected. Most of the land birds
encountered were breeders. Nothing out of the ordinary, but highlights
included, lingering BONAPARTE'S GULL, WHITE-THROATED SPARROW, NORTHERN
HARRIER, AMERICAN PIPIT, SAVANAH SPARROW (all singles). BLACK-BELLIED
PLOVER, DUNLIN, STILT SANDPIPER, SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER (2s). I managed 105
species, without any owls, goatsuckers, or terns. Also no Bobwhite for the
day although I did see 2 at Malvern Hill National Battlefield on 5/10.

Complete species list is below.
