[va-richmond-general] Re: Huguenot Flatwater to the Dell (JRPS)--red-eyed vireo heard, possible kingfisher nest

Hi Jan and All,
The American Bittern remains at the wetlands.

I returned for the 3rd time today at around 6 p.m. and looked around again.
This time I was able to find the American Bittern without too much
difficulty. However if it's hunkered down in the spiky grass (sedge?) you
could easily miss it as I did earlier in the day.

Not much else to add to Jan's report except for a Louisiana Waterthrush
singing in the boardwalk area as I was heading out in the middle of the day.
