[va-richmond-general] Henricus/Dutch Gap 2/25/2006

I led a walk today at Dutch Gap for Chesterfield Parks and Rec. There was
a slim turnout, but we found some very cooperative birds. Highlights were
a Cooper's Hawk that perched on a branch overhanging the trail for what
seemed like half an hour, one Lesser Scaup hanging with the Ring-necked
Ducks, fifty Killdeer with a few Wilson's Snipe mixed in, and a third-year
Bald Eagle (the one that looks a bit like an Osprey) squatting on one of
the heron nests over the marsh. The Red-Shouldered Hawk pair was hanging
around the parking lot as well. Here are a few photos of the birds that
