If I am reading you correctly, "no small triangles at base of throat." Do you
mean the triangles that orginate in a point just at the bill? I am not
folowing that part and do care, because I guess like most I am innundated with
sparrows--until a couple of days ago and on that note . . .
A hawk, Red Shouldered, I think, is setting up house-keeping nearby, could that
account for my seeing 1/2 to 2/3 fewer House Sparrows as usual?
