Perfect day to paddle around Harrison Lake with the cool temperatures. The water
level was high in spite of our lack of rainfall this month. Not a lot of bird
activity but I did find 5 bobbers, 2 lures and a handful of sinkers. Beautiful
lily pads in bloom as well as Cardinal flower, Joe pye weed and a tree loaded
with persimmons.

Highlights:

Great Blue Heron
Green Heron
Large mixed kettle of Black and Turkey Vultures
Osprey
Chimney Swift
Belted Kingfisher
Chipping sparrow
Eastern Bluebird
Wood thrush
Phoebe
Pine warbler
Canada Geese in formation
Wood duck
...and the usual woodland species.
