2 of us with cabin fever paddled Harrison Lake through some April showers this
afternoon. Even through the grey fog and rain, signs of spring were all about.
An Osprey put on a good show for us as did an Immature Bald Eagle. Heard a
couple Prothontary's along the shoreline. The beavers have been sprucing up
their lodges with some fresh timber and lily pads are starting to dot the lake.
A few highlights:
Osprey
Bald Eagle (immature)
Tree Swallow (many)
Great Blue Heron
Mallard
Hairy Woodpecker
Pine Warbler
Prothonotary Warbler
Yellow-throated Warbler
Blue-grey Gnatcatcher
Eastern Bluebird
Must say the cup of tea and the woodstove felt mighty good after peeling off
the paddle jacket and boots.
