Birders,

This afternoon in downtown Richmond today there were SIX species of gulls
among about 4,000 birds.  The highlights were 2 Glaucous Gulls, 1 Iceland
Gull, and at least 4 Lesser Black-backed Gulls. There are few records of
more than one Glaucous Gull in Virginia though interestingly in Dec. 2012
two birds of the species were also at this exact location.  Some photos in
the eBird list.  http://ebird.org/ebird/va/view/checklist/S34137419

Also, a video of the gulls being scattered by a hopeful eagle from my
vantage on the new pedestrian bridge: https://flic.kr/p/QzhTKn

Good birds,

Ellison
