[va-richmond-general] Great Egrets Breeding Downtown Richmond?

Just rejoined list after extended absence to report last several days
3-4 Great Egrets hanging out on downtown islands near Mayo's Island
amongst the Great Blue Heron rookery. One appears to be on a nest,
another was seen displaying feathers today (spectacular, although quite
distant look). There might be bird an egret on a second nest - hard to
see from my vantage. Looks suspiciously like there is breeding activity
going on here. Any confirmation from anyone? This seems to be a pretty
far west breeding location - and I wonder if there are any prior records
of breeding in Richmond City limits. Also heard a report of Great Egret
nesting on a freshwater pond in New Kent county. What's going on here?
