[va-richmond-general] Great Backyard Birdcount at James River National Wildlife Refuge

We had a beautiful day for the Great Backyard Birdcount walk at James River National Wildlife Refuge. Seven birders found a total of 41 species. Highlights included all seven species of eastern woodpecker, both Kinglets, a couple of Red-breasted Nuthatches, a pair of Common Mergansers, and a small flock of Wild Turkeys that did a fly-by down on Powell's Creek. Thanks to Cyrus Brame and the US Fish and Wildlife Service for sponsoring the walk, and to Michael Larkin and Penny Reynolds for leading the trip. Complete checklist below.
