[va-richmond-general] Good birds?? City of Richmond

Hello birders,

Somewhat belated (sorry), but possibly note worthy.

Yesterday 7/4, I had a single Brown headed Nuthatch in the City of Richmond.
More specifically in near the corner of Cedar Avenue and Sylvan. A few big
pines in this area and about 5 blocks from James River Park.

On 6/26 I saw a Warbling Vireo singing in the James River Park. I was below
at the 22nd St entrance. The bird was in some Willows not to far out on the
rock. Certainly acting like it was on territory. I haven't had the chance to
get down there again to see if it is still around.

The Nuthatch was the first I've seen in 5 years of living in the
neighborhood, and the Vireo I've not seen previously during the summer in
Richmond.
