[va-richmond-general] Re: Glaucous Gull - City of Richmond

Travel I-195/Powhite for  about 3 or 4 miles (?). After the Cary Street exit
take the 195 Downtown exit to the right. Follow to Toll plaza (50c). After
Toll you want to take the 2nd exit, which is 2nd St/Byrd St. After exiting
get over to the right (Byrd is one way). Take a right turn on 5th St. (at
bottom of the hill). This will put you adjacent to Browns Island. Park on
the street (there is 2 hour parking).

On foot - At the end of 5th St. cross over Tredegar St. and follow the
sidewalk to your right. Then follow around to left across the canal. Ahead
there are some stairs that lead to a observation deck which juts out into
the river. A great spot to look at the gulls. Numbers do vary daily. Late
afternoon has the best light. Looking across the river you can see the flood
wall.
