[va-richmond-general] Ginter Gardens

4 birders saw 25 species of birds this morning on the trip to Lewis Ginter
Botanical Garden.

Hightlights were a single Cedar Waxwing , 3 of the uncommon this winter Yellow
Rumped Warblers which posed for the group, a hyperactive as usual but stayed in
two bushes and one tree for a while Ruby Crowned Kinglet, nice view of a Red
Shouldered Hawk perched in a tree ,and a pair of Downy Woodpeckers.
A Belted Kingfisher ,which is not seen seen or heard on every trip to Ginter
but there is a resident pair on the property, was heard by all a few times.

Sincerely,

Tyler Turpin
