Subject: Tree swallows at Wetlands?
Hello,
Yesterday, Sunday the 5th, at Wetlands three of us spent a good
deal of time watching a sizeable group of birds swirling in the air
over the middle of the swollen James River, working slowly up
stream. They had a brilliant iridescent blue-green back which
really was strikingly beautiful in the sun, and black and white.
With a little snooping on the web, we can only propose that they
were tree swallows. Does this seem remotely plausible? Any other
ideas? Did anyone else report them?
Thanks! Marion
