They control the only remaining known Red Cockaded Woodpecker habitat land in Virginia, near Wakefield. The Nature Conservancy would be a great group to contact, but what about our own nation organization of Audubon?? I also hate to say this, but with the upcoming delisting of Bald Eagles, the presence of a Baldie in an area won't carry the protection that it used to. But the Red Cockaded - if they can document it - still will. Can anyone at DGIF possibly help??
