[va-richmond-general] Re: Fw: Bald Eagle sighting

There's a resident pair at Point-of-Rocks Park, too. Look for them at the
mouth of the estuary where the boardwalk is, they like to sit in the pine
trees and preen.

County just west of Henrico County on RT . 250. There is a swamp that lies
just west of Gardners Nursery. The bird was perched in a tree about 200
yards into the swamp. The coloring was brown with snow white head feathers.
I have seen a bald eagle along the James from the Annabelle Lee a couple of
years ago.

around and went back again. This time I drove slower. Not having binoculars
and with not wanting to stop in the road I got the best look I could. I do
believe it was a Bald Eagle and thought the society would like to know if
someone else has not already said something. This may not be something new,
but I have lived here 13 years and have never seen an Eagle on that stretch
of road. Turkeys, yes, Buzzards, yes many times , but never an Eagle until
today.
