Subject: [Va-bird] Gone To The Birds Festival

 

This is a reminder the City of Richmond will play host to the Second Annual
Gone To The Birds Festival this Saturday July 25th from 6 to 9 PM at the
17th Street Farmers Market. Representatives from the PMCA, NAS, VSO, DGIF
and several other conservation groups will be available to answer any
questions you may have. A cold purple delight will be served for a nominal
fee. Special rates at the Omni hotel will be available for the weekend of
the festival. Go to http://www.gonetothebirds.org/ for more information on
the festival.

Directions from the east take 64 west to 95 south. Go less than one mile
exit at the Franklin Street exit. Go thru first stop light and turn left on
Main Street at Second Light. Go past first stoplight ( 17 Street will be
closed ) and turn left onto 18th Street go two blocks turn left on Grace. Go
one block roost trees will be on your left and the Farmers Market will be at
the far end from the trees. Parking should be available in parking lots
around the site and as far as I know will be free. Directions from the west
take 64 East to 95 South go about two miles exit on to Franklin Street.
Directions from the South take 95 North to the Broad Street Exit in Downtown
Richmond. Follow exit to 17th Street cross Broad Street and the Roost trees
will be straight in front of you. 17th Street will be closed from Grace
Street South and is one way going north anyway. Questions about directions
