[va-richmond-general] Dutch Gap field trip

At Dutch Gap today (2/19/05) we had 8 members on a cold but beautiful day. No
early migrants were spotted, but we had 38 species of birds, and 2 mammals,
besides Homo sapiens. The mammals were gray squirrel, and 2 deer in the shallow
part of the lagoon. There were large flocks of juncos and white throats, and we
saw our first tree swallows of the year - about 20 or more, flycatching over a
section of the lagoon. The complete list is below. At least the wind cooperated
until later in the morning.
