[va-richmond-general] Re: Dutch Gap Field Trip - GBBC

If you need a little extra incentive to roll out of bed on Sunday, our Dutch Gap field trip will also be part of the Great Backyard Bird Count effort (http://www.birdsource.org/gbbc/).
Audubon and the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology sponsor this annual count to collect a snapshot of species abundance and geographic distribution. The data are used to study a variety of questions, from long-term population trends to the reaction of various species to especially mild or harsh winter conditions.
More eyes make for a more comprehensive count - Come out and help complete the picture!
