[va-richmond-general] Dutch Gap Conservation Area 10-26

This morning, I birded about half of the Dutch Gap trail in Chesterfield
County. Best bird was a NASHVILLE WARBLER in some brushy stuff near the
1.5 mile mark. Also had 4 WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS (all imm.) among the
numerous Song Sparrows. Other highlights included a GREAT EGRET, 2
GREATER YELLOWLEGS, PALM WARBLER (1), FORSTER'S TERN (1), BROWN CREEPER
(1), YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER (1) and several imm. BALD EAGLES.
RUBY-CROWNED and GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLETS, HERMIT THRUSH, WINTER WREN and
DARK-EYED JUNCO were all seen today although there was only 1 junco.
There was hardly any water in the marsh at Henricus Park so there were
no ducks there. It was a nice day despite the constant truck traffic
from the Dominion power plant next door. Good birding.
