Eight enthusiastic birders enjoyed a beautiful Sunday morning at
Cumberland Marsh Nature Preserve. We saw 50 species total. Highlights
were good looks at prothonotary warbler, yellow-throated warbler, and
scarlet tanager. Also blue gray gnatcatchers feeding young, northern
parula, orchard oriole in the wheat field, and a bobwhite on the side of
the road on the way out.
Non-bird species included a large red-bellied slider (turtle), frogs,
toads, and numerous dragonflies and butterflies.
Thanks to all who joined us.
