[va-richmond-general] Collective Experience: Travel Advice

Good morning...
 
    A non-birding post, please excuse the  intrusion.
 
    I was hoping to tap into the collective experience  of the group for 
advice concerning travel in February.  We have a few  days off in late February 
and was wondering if anyone had any "super" places to  visit for a long 
weekend. 
 Some parameters:
 
        Short trip:  4-5  days
        Easy to get to: Quick  flights, easy drive, etc.
        Weather: Warm, no  snow
        Activities:  Good  birding, exploring and hiking
 
Please email me with your thoughts and advice.  All input would  be welcome.
