[va-richmond-general] Chickahominy Lake

Wednesday I stopped at Ed Allen's Campground and boat launch at Providence Forge to eat lunch. I was the only customer so I ate with my binoculars in hand. Several Bald Eagles, a Red-tailed Hawk, Turkey Vultures and my first of the season Osprey soared above the lake.
In a Bald Cypress tree across the lake two Great Blue Herons sat close to a nest. I've fished here over the years and it is a great place to view these, and many other birds. I saw pictures they have of a bobcat in a tree near, or on, an old Osprey nest.
