[va-richmond-general] Breaking the ice

The hard freeze this morning completely froze the water in our  bird bath.  
Our resident adult RED-HEADED WOODPECKER used his ice pick  of a beak to try to 
break through - pieces of ice were flying until I took  pity and put out some 
fresh water!
