Good Morning
I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has birded Australia. Which
guide books are good, special sites, and especially, best times of the year.
Anything else you want to share is good, too.
Thanks,
ANN

Title: Late posting from Highland
Linda, Mitchell Byrd and I birded Highland and Pocahontas counties last week. There were many notable sightings, but the most rewarding was a black-billed cuckoo at the entrance to Bear Mountain Retreat. We heard it in the woods near the trailers right by the gate. We not only were able to listen to it for quite a while but it came in to a tree very near us and called for 10+ minutes. In fact it was still calling when we left.
