After seeing both owls out this morning, I spent half an hour looking this
evening. They were hunting in the swamp by the boardwalk and briefly did a
duet. Not sure what is up with them, but they have 3 nest holes available
close by. Maybe they are already feeding young--the first fledging date I
ever witnessed in that area was 4/18/04. Right where the people come along
with up to 7 dogs off the leash at one time and people let small children
approach the flightless owlet on the ground....
