[va-richmond-general] Audubon uses telemarketer number

I would like to report that we just got a call from a lady saying she was
from the National Audubon Society saying she wanted our support in defending
against the Pombo bill. They came on our Caller ID as 800-841-5939; when I
Googled that number, I found it was a notorious telemarketer number. The
first reference I got was entitled "antitelemarketer.com". I found a
complaint from someone saying that this caller from that number kept calling
her over and over again even after she told them to take her name off their
mailing list. The caller for our call said that the number is used by
several organizations, but this suggests that our parent organization is
indirectly supporting telemarketers with their actions by sharing the same
telephone number as them. Any comment on this?
