[va-richmond-general] Auctio/Raffle

FAQ:

The green receipts are to be given to a local business/restaurant/crafter who
makes a donation of goods to the auction. Don't be shy about asking. It's good
advertising and tax-deductible. The receipt is for their records.

Raffle tickets--
Give the large part to the purchaser. The stubs (small part on left end) must
be filled out and returned along with the money--in an envelope-- to Sue Ridd.
If you would rather mail them to her, the address is 9655 Greenmeadow Circle
Glen Allen, VA 23060. Don't mail cash. Unsold raffle tickets can be returned
to Linda Warfield at 4749 Southmoor Road Richmond, VA 23234, or bring them to
the Oct. meeting and return them to her then.

Donations--
They are starting to come in, and it's very impressive in the scope and variety
of items! We have some very talented, creative, and generous people!

Peggy Schrader generously donated her entire porcelain bird figurines
collection. It is now at ETC Inc. in Carytown where the owner has created an
excellent display with a sign informing people profits from their sale go to
RAS. If you need a nice gift anytime soon, you know where to go. The shop is
across from CVS. Three figurines will be in the auction, also.

Don't forget the Auction Committee meets this Thursday at St Luke at 7:30 pm. I
need as much help as possible, so please be on the committee.

thanks,
Linda
