The American Bittern seen on yesterday's Hopewell CBC was relocated today about 2:15 pm smack dab in the middle of the swamp between the 2 observations platforms and about 50 feet out. The bird held still for a long time and blended well into the reeds. He was able to spear a little sushi for an afternoon snack. Attached is a hurried photo..
