[va-richmond-general] Re: A-T Flycatcher: Caution

Probably right about the caution if you go early. However, I was there today at 
about 1:30-2:00 PM.  At that time there were several joggers, walker, etc., 
including one very avid birder (Arun Bose) who was kind enough to point the 
bird out to me initially.  Later I saw not one, but two Ash-throated 
Flycatchers at the same time. The second one flew into the same shrubby thicket 
while I was photographing the first one. I wonder if they are just migrating 
through or looking for a breeding ground. They are staying in the same general 
location for a long time. 

There were also some song sparrows in the weeds there. The mergansers, 
pied-billed grebe, and one lesser black-back were there as well.

Gerry's right about the deserted nature of the floodwall walk. I was 
there today from about 8:30 to 10:00 and didn't see a single soul. Did 
see the 3 Common Mergansers, a couple of Black Ducks and a single 
Pied-billed Grebe.
