[va-richmond-general] A "Maggie" and juvie MoDo's at BnP, 5/8

Bryan Park Saturday morning produced some nice birds, including a Magnolia's
Warbler (first one I've ever seen there), a Swainson's Thrush, a Scarlet
Tanager, and others. There were two Solitary Sandpipers hanging around in the
"duck pond" (the little pond by the house at the entrance to the park) and a
Solitary and Spotted together in a different spot. There was also a male Wood
Duck who seemed to be hanging out with a female Mallard and her 9 little
ducklings. He swam where they swam and so forth.
I also saw my first-ever juvenile Mourning Doves Saturday. I was wondering if
Mourning Doves lay their eggs at different times like some other birds do? The
two juvies I saw were two together and one was clearly older than the other. It
was less scaly-looking and the wing spots were darker than on the other. The
younger one still has a down feather or two. Both seemed small for Mourning
Doves and were easily approachable. Only the wings of the older one made any
noise when they flew, and it wasn't as loud as the sounds of an adults wings.
