I decided to do no birding today as I had too much to do, but as I was
driving out of the Wal-Mart parking lot, I spotted a small yellow bird in
flight. It landed in a beautiful tree on the fringes of the parking lot. I
parked the car and got out to take a look (no binoculars). It was a yellow
warbler, gleaning insects from the leaves, FOY for me.
At home, a brown headed nuthatch visited my feeder. That's a new yard bird
for me, as I've never seen one here before.
