Dear Virginia Birders,
Now that your appetites have been whetted by the
wonderful waterfowl that have been seen in the
very-underbirded King William County this week
and last week, I would like to put forth another
invitation for help on the Walkerton Christmas
Bird Count on Dec 31. This includes the areas of
King William county reported on today as well as
the even-less-birded King and Queen County and
small slivers of New Kent and Hanover counties.
Unfortunately this count is on the same date as
Mathews and Lake Anna. (I guess we all are trying
to avoid the hunters.)
Some of the Walkerton regulars are unable to come
this year so I am scrambling to find coverage for
some of the sectors. At the rate things are
going, two sectors will not be covered.
Please e-mail or call in the next week if you'd
like to join in, and if you haven't already told
me you would help.
