2003-2004 CHRISTMAS BIRD COUNTS - Virginia
Dear VA-Birders,
This update includes only a change in the
compiler for the Manassas-Bull Run Count and some
additonal info for the Fort Belvoir Count:
Here is the CBC information I have received (so
far) from the compilers of the Virginia Christmas
Bird Counts, including updates received in the
last couple of weeks. I am sorry for the gaps.
There are six counts that I have not heard back
from, but I thought I should send what I know now
since many of you are probably making plans.
Please contact the leaders of the counts you
participated in last year and let them know if
you can help out again this year, the sooner the
better. Most of them are probably trying to
finalize their plans for coverage. If you want to

This is a dievrse coast-type area, with at least
some tidal water available in every sector.
Quite a few people do this count but more are
always welcome...some of the area hardly gets
covered at all.
4- Jan Sugarloaf Mountain, MD-VA
This count circle is largely rural and has a good
variety of wet and dry habitats plus a history of
exciting finds (e.g., Red
Crossbills). Please contact
either of the co-compilers if you'd like to
participate.
