Last night between 6:00 and 6:30 I watched 5 V formations of tundra swans
(about 600 total) flying north to northwest. The trajectory of flight was
from Tapphannock, VA along a stretch of the Rappahannock River that runs
NW-SE. They may have been heading for protected loafing areas near George
Washington Birthplace-Pope's Creek section of the Potomac.
