Despite the bitter cold wind blowing on our mountain, there were plenty of
birds around the field edges and brush piles today. The sparrows put in a good
showing with 6 species, and there were more Robins and Yellow-rumpeds moving
through. Some of the Robins joined 4 Flickers and a Red-bellied Woodpecker
eating sumac berries, and a few Bluebirds were finishing off the poison ivy
berries.
