Migration activity has been slow on the shore so far this week, but
there was a sedge wren this morning in the middle pond of the three
water treatment/ retention ponds behind the dunes at Sunset Beach,
across the highway from Eastern Shore National Wildlife Refuge.
Otherwise, good sparrow activity at the banding station and behind
refuge visitor center, flyover bobolink, pipit, siskin, purple
thrush, waxwing and dickcissel, but not great hordes of birds moving
south. Dan Cristol
