Hello Teen Birders
Since we cancelled last Saturday's field trip to
the King George ponds due to snow here and ice
there, the trip has been rescheduled for this
coming Saturday January 29 from 12 noon to 6 PM.
We should see at least a dozen species of
waterfowl including stunning redheads and
canvasbacks. We will meet at Flint Hill School in
Oakton. All students in grades 8-12 are welcome,
beginners and experts. We will travel by school
minibus. There is no charge for the field trip
which is sponsored by Flint Hill School and The
Audubon Society of Northern Virginia. Please
call or e-mail Mr. Atwood (see below) to let him
know if you plan to attend.
To get to Flint Hill take route 66 to exit 60.
Go towards Vienna and Oakton on route 123. Turn
left after 1/4 mile at the second light onto
Jermantown Rd. Proceed to the Upper School
(West) campus, about 1 mile, just past Oak Marr
Park to 3320 Jermantown Road on the right side.
We will meet in the circle in front of the
school.
