A neighbor described to me an owl sighting two days ago about 1 mile from my
house at Wilna. It was very small (about 6-7 inches), she said, big head,
reddish brown and streaked. Sounds like Saw-Whet to me, but this is second
hand info. Will keep an eye out for more sightings. Other anecdotal sighting
information was offered by other locals who have lived in this area all their
lives.
