[va-bird] pishing for hummers?

I have never really tried to pish for a hummingbird, however, on a quick
birdwalk at Redwing Park in Virginia Beach on Friday I did some pishing to see
what was lurking around quietly. The trails at the back of the park are short
trails and all meet up with each other. At four different locations RT
Hummingbirds zoomed pretty close to me with their fussy noise they make. They
all
(or perhaps just one that just happened to go everywhere I did) would go to a
tree and perch or zoom on away.
Thinking the whole thing was a bit bazaar, I made a return trip today and
took the trail farthest away from where I was the other day. In the 10 minutes
I
was there, sure enough another Hummer zoomed by fussing after I pished.I
thought it was interesting and wondered if anyone else has ever "pished off" a
hummer?
By the way the Ovenbirds were VERY cooperative and gave me several nice
looks while they walked in the trees and some on the ground.
