Hello Teen Birders!
Two things:
1. This Saturday is the Teen Bird Club again.
The present plan is go to Huntley Meadows to
look for the rails, bittern, and other spring
migrants. The plan right now is to leave Flint
Hill at 7 and return at 11. It might also be
possible to meet us at Huntley Meadows at around
7:30 but let me know if you plan to do this.
These plans might change if the rails leave and
if another rare bird shows up somewhere else.
Please pass this on to any other interested
students you know of.
2. There will be a Flint Hill youth team for the
Fairfax Audubon Society Bird-a-thon to raise
money for FAS. It would be nice if there were
other youth teams (ages 13-19) to compete with.
Adults, like me, may be the drivers but we won't
be allowed to identify the birds. You can go to
the FAS website to find out more about it and to
download the forms and info.

It can be any 24 hour period between May 1 and
16.
Any adults out there want to pledge for this
worthy cause? Please let me know.
