Fellow birders:
On April 24, I noticed a killdeer doing the "broken wing" act on a gravel
road next to a soccer field (where my son was playing). On closer
examination, I saw a nest with 4 eggs in limestone gravel. This is just
north of Mt. Crawford, near Ever's Restaurant south of Harrisonburg.
On April 25, we had our first hummingbird- a female- at our feeder in
Elkton, Va.
