I saw my first Rockingham County MARSH WREN Monday evening at 7PM in
Bridgewater.
From the north end of the bridge where Rt. 42 crosses the North River,
walk west along the bank. Pass the power lines, then 10 feet ahead is a
cane bush of some sort on the river's edge. The wren was singing and
chattering continuously.
This morning at Hillandale Park in Harrisonburg I had perhaps a dozen
BLUE-HEADED VIREOS, a dozen RUBY-CROWNED KINGLETS, one WORM-EATING
WARBLER, and one PINE WARBLER, all amid a flock of 50 CEDAR WAXWINGS.
