This bird may be of interest to some so I thought I
should post it. Someone recently contacted me about
an adult Little Blue Heron that visited a yard in
Siler, Frederick County on Tuesday, April 20. It was
perched in the top of a persimmon tree in the early
evening for 15 minutes before it flew off in a
north-northeasterly direction. The bird called
several times. The description they gave of the
bird's plumage seems to accurately describe a Little
Blue. It hasn't been seen since.
