[va-bird] kiptopeke hw 30 nov -- last day

The Kiptopeke hawkwatch came to a quiet close today. Southwest winds shut
things down and only three migrants were seen, adult harriers of each sex and
one Sharp-shinned hawk. The local Peregrine was wreaking havoc on the gulls,
pigeons, killdeer and starlings this morning.

Deniz ended the trapping season with the adult female harrier that I saw.
Beautiful bird.

It has been a pleasure conducting this count. I hope these reports were
informative and interesting. Thanks to all who came out to share some time on
the platform this season. I look forward to my next visit to Cape Charles.
