We've had a couple good falcon days. Yesterday was super fun with Peregrines
bursting over the trees in twos, threes and fours in the afternoon. Not much
else was moving, as Peregrines made up over half of the daily total. A second
Assateague-marked Peregrine came by, sporting a rosy breast, from the dye.
Today was a bit slower for the Birding Festival, but a treat was had by a group
of 50 or so festival goers who witnessed a specatacular Peregrine stoop right
in front of the platform into the banding station. The capture was successful
and this juvenile male was the guest of honor for Bill William's hawk migration
talk. After a fairly stagnant morning, the Peregrines picked up in the late
afternoon to keep us awake. We're hoping for more tomorrow.

The above-mentioned Peregrine was the only, but nice, capture for Deniz today.
She's working hard to bring anything into the station on these warm, sticky
days. Come on fall, get here.
