A nice day for migration. It started with a nice passerine back-flight just
after dawn, which was accompanied by a forward-flight of earlybird kestrels and
sharpies. Then Mr. Brinkley arrives in a state and reveals his potential
extraordinary bird. Bob A. was off the platform before you could say
Scolopacidae. Sounds like quite a fun excursion.
Anyway, the count is as follows. High counts thus far are in bold. The
majority of the flight was quite high on the light northerly winds. The season
has been slow, so hopefully this is a harbinger of better things to come.
